If you use a Montana driver’s license for identification when you fly, be sure to check if it is a REAL-ID compliant license.

Current, unexpired Montana drivers’ licenses or IDs will be accepted by the Transportation Security Administration to board domestic, commercial flights and access federal facilities until October 1, 2021.   Beginning October 1, 2021, a REAL ID-compliant driver’s license, an enhanced driver’s license, or another acceptable form of ID will be required to fly within the United States.
