Allegiant announced today, new direct seasonal service between Billings and Portland, Oregon, beginning May 7, 2021 and running through August 16, 2021. This service will operate on Fridays and Mondays. Flight times can be found on Allegiant's Website at: www.Allegiant.com. Allegiant operates the comfortable Airbus A-319 aircraft.
"Direct non-stop service between Billings and Portland this Spring and Summer with an introductory one way fare for $59 on Allegiant is a great opportunity for the folks of eastern Montana and northern Wyoming for a quick recreational weekend with great fares. Adding these flights for the late Spring and Summer months shows that Allegiant believes that with the COVID-19 pandemic starting to wind down, there is some pent up demand for leisure travel just waiting to happen," said Kevin Ploehn, Director of the Billings Logan International Airport. "The Portland area is a very popular destination out of Billings in the warmer months and this Allegiant service will certainly enhance the appeal for travel to that area."
"Generally, Montana has seen much better passenger numbers this past year than the majority of the nation, with most Montana airports close to or above 50% of normal, while the rest of the country is averaging around 30%. This success is probably playing into the additional service for Billings," said Ploehn.
