Holiday travel is projected to be busy again this holiday season.  A few advance preparations will lessen the stress of a busy holiday travel season.  

The TSA website offers tips for holiday travelers to help make the passenger travel experience, including passenger screening, as smooth as possible. Airline websites and apps are also available and a good source of information.  Be sure to arrive at the airport early, at least ninety minutes before your scheduled flight time as passenger security checkpoints are likely to be busy, especially during peak times.  

Check the TSA and airline websites in advance of packing your bags so that you are familiar with the current baggage requirements, any restrictions on what can be placed in your checked and carry-on bags, and what to expect during the passenger screening process.  Organize your carry-on bags with electronic devices at the top so they are in easy reach to remove for screening.  Any gifts should be unwrapped and in easy-to-open gift bags.
